Hate It | Industrial Rock
The idea for the song “Hate It” was inspired by a thought often expressed by Rick Rubin in interviews and in his book The Creative Act: A Way of Being. Most people assume that if something is good, everyone should like it. But truly original creative work rarely works that way. When something is honest and bold, it tends to create strong reactions across the entire emotional spectrum. Some will love it. Others will hate it. That contrast is often a sign that the work actually moved something. If nobody dislikes a creative work, it may simply mean it stayed safe, predictable, and comfortable. But when something pushes far enough to inspire genuine enthusiasm in some people, it will almost inevitably create the opposite reaction in others. That’s the nature of art. To make something that feels truly great to some listeners, it may also need to be equally rejected by others. One important note: This song is not about hatred toward people, which is destructive. It’s about the reactions that creative work can provoke. Art, music, and ideas live in that tension between admiration and rejection. #IndustrialRock #RickRubin #CreativeProcess #MakeArt #CreateDontPlease #Nebafi #ネバフィ
