Haunting Me

Tuning; DADGAD ...Thanks to my good friend Dave Gill for his audio & video editing and creativity creating the storyboard visuals. :) There's a single black crow on my windowsill And his pensive call's unsettling as it's shrill Like a warning beacon on the sea at night I've been drifting in the dark When I turn the lights down shadows move within And I feel the touch of cold upon my skin Every lover's scorn creates this Alchemy Now it's coming down on me How long have I been lost? What boundaries have I crossed? Voices whisper in the night Then these spirits take their flight They're haunting me Forever in my dreams And even in the waking hours I can't find relief They're haunting me Hovering as I sleep And even in the morning light I still can't find relief Echoes of the past reverberate the room Every captured smile, the scent of her perfume She's there dancing solo in the candlelight And I'm still drifting in the dark How long have I been lost? Were the spoils worth the cost? Voices whisper in the night Then these spirits take their flight
