The kids talked Matt into opening a candy beetle making kit, from Japan, that had been sent to him from a friend a while ago. The Japanese Rhino beetle is one of Matt’s favorite insects, and I had some as pets when I was in Japan. I tried to read the instructions (my Japanese is very limited; 3rd generation Japanese American so I’ve mostly been self taught), Matt ignored my instructions lol, Carmelo was disgusted by the candy, and Eva ate it all!
