Headphone Stand with Storage

Made out of Walnut, Sapele and Copper Tubing. I turned the shape of the base on the lathe before splitting it apart and cutting out the drawer on the bandsaw. The paper spacers glued in between the layers hold extremely well but can be pryed apart when needed. I removed the glue and paper with a little lacquer thinner and a razor blade. The copper tubing was hammered to get it a more interesting texture and glued into the base and headphone support with 2 part epoxy. The entire thing, including the copper tube, was coated with Briwax. The drawer was coated in Suede Flock. First you the parts with a special black paint adhesive, then you dust on very fine suede fibers and let it dry. It hides all the cut lines from the bandsaw and gives it a very professional look.
