First Person Flipping: Hellbent
The hellbent is a series of rollovers, not unlike the helix. However, the transitions in the hellbent are very unique and it leads right into a reverse grip holding the bite handle, perfect for the helix. This is a bit easier to learn than the helix in my experience, so it's something you can add to your repertoire while you're smoothing out those motions.
Also, yes, it looks like I poured acid over my hand. A week before filming, I spent about 6 hours tubing down a river. The sun was not kind to me. Since then it's healed, and I look like a normal human again. Apologies for how bad it looks on camera.
