High Resolution Tree Counting and Height Mapping using Transformers and Foundational Model
John Brandt presented at the TensorFlow Working Group (TFWG) meeting on March 6, 2024. John Brandt is a Senior Data Scientist at the World Resources Institute (WRI). He works on developing novel datasets to monitor forest and landscape restoration activities with Remote Sensing. In this talk, John will talk about his work that uses MAXAR high resolution imagery to analyze petabytes of satellite imagery with computer vision and deep learning approaches to produce half-meter tree height and count products.
