This video is about a set of photographs we purchased from the estate of the late Bill Edmond in 2016. We were unsure of the status of these photos and asked the estate company if there were any contacts, but they were not aware of anyone. They only knew the remaining relative had already collected what they desired from the property, and the rest was to be sold. Some of these pictures are scans of photographs, and others are negatives. We decided in 2017 to sell the photos as we thought some folks may be interested in them, and one or two sold over a few months. We were then contacted by the Living Computer Museum and agreed to send the remaining 60+ photos to them for the cost of shipping. We then again attempted to contact any remaining relatives and came up empty-handed. Fast forward to 2021 and the Living Computer Museum is now closed, and it is unclear whether it will reopen. So, I decided it was time for these photographs to be seen by the world! I talk about Bill Edmonds quite a lot in this video, and I have long desired to talk about his life a little. He is a perfect stranger to me, but I wound up learning a lot about him because of a giant stack of reel-to-reel tapes I purchased. In addition to what I reveal in the video, there is one other interesting fact I would like to share. Well two really. Bill at one time owned more than 50 Cadillacs. In addition, he was the owner of the 1961 Lincoln used in the Oliver Stone movie JFK. Bill only lived about 30 miles from Dealey Plaza, so it would have made transporting it easy. I did find these pictures of the Bill Edmonds Trio online, not the same as the ones I have but similar: https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth59497/ https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth59500/ Archive.org link to original photos: https://archive.org/details/img019_202101 If anyone has more info on the people, locations and machines in these photos I would be interested to learn more.
