Highlights with Gray Blending + [QUICK TONING TIPS]

In this video tutorial, I show you how I highlight hair to blend gray hair while using Studio Stylist Express for a base break using Kenra Color! Let’s be real, quarantine hair is REAL! My client came in and wanted to refresh her color and blend her grays. Overall it can be a bit tricky to lift gray hair due to the fact that it tends to be a bit more on the coarse side. Even though this was a trickier head of hair, I am always up for a good challenge! To achieve maximum lift and brightness, I went in with Kenra Professional Blue Powder Lightener with 20 volume developer. Because she had so much regrowth I thought it was best to tackle this with a combination of Microlights, teasylights, and babylights. Pro Tip: When highlighting, pivot your highlights for a more natural look!
