A video showing how to use the histogram in Virtual Dub to set the brightness and contrast ("the levels") to within the safe range before or during analogue video capture.
This video is using Virtual Dub 2. For Virtual Dub 1.xxx the Capture AVI command is in the File menu.
You do not have to capture with VDub; get the correct proc amp settings using this technique then capture with your preferred program.
