Stapling holiday lighting into your home is a quick and easy installation technique but certainly has it's draw backs. For instance, it's only practical on wood structures - not vinyl, steel, brick, stone or stucco. Personally, I avoid this technique most of the time and have never used it on a clients home because I feel it is too destructive over time (unless you plan on putting a fresh coat of paint back on it every spring to fill in those little holes. Maybe I am overreacting.
