I walk where the city forgets to breathe Streetlights flicker like promises breaking Every empty window knows my name But I keep chasing shadows I can’t claim --- I hear the static caught inside the rain Every echo sounds the same Lost between the pulse and pain I wonder if you’d call my name --- I’m still screaming through this hollow drift Burning my voice where the daylight slips I set myself on fire just to feel But I’m still drowning in what’s not real --- My hands are trembling under glass skies Dreams collapse like stars before they die I burned the letters, but the smoke remains And every silence carves your name --- I breathe in static I breathe in scars The thunder folds Around my heart --- I’m still screaming through this hollow drift My lungs collapse in the weight of this I burned myself just to feel alive But even ashes can’t survive --- Somewhere in this city The rain still carries us But I can’t. I won’t. Not yet.
