Holographic interferometer
• Small sized holographic interferometer (SSHI) is intended for scientific and educational aims. • SSHI differs from other known analogues by used there unique photothermoplastic recording medium which allows to record and develop holograms electronically. The medium is reversible, it admits about 1000 cycles of holographic recording and erasing. • SSHI allows to investigate both transparent and diffusive objects. • SSHI provides following possibilities: recording of usual holograms; recording of time averaged holograms (for oscillating objects); readout of real time interferograms; saving of interferograms; decoding of interferograms. • SSHI can be used for scientific purposes: - physical chemistry (crystal growth, solution processes, changes of refractive index, changes of density etc.); - molecular physics (gases and liquids convections); - aerodynamics and hydrodynamics (visualization of stream, measurement of velocity, investigations of turbulence, vibrations, diagnostics of propagation of percussion wave etc.). • SSHI can be used for nondestructive control in industry. • SSHI is indispensable in educational process, it gives visual imagination and practical skills in studying of mechanics, molecular physics, hydrodynamics, chemistry, biology, physical optics, vibration physics, acoustics etc. • SSHI allows to do laboratory works on those and other specialities.
