I made this Chicken Coop recently to house our three chickens. We plan to add 6 more chicks in the spring. All materials were purchased at Lowes and I also recycled some materials laying around the shop. The overall dimentions are 6' W x 3'D x 6' high. The window was recycled. The roof has dimentional shingles and is mounted on two large hinges, so that I can prop it up in the summer. There are 4 nesting boxes. I used inexpensive vinyl flooring to make clean-up easier. Both sides are hinged for easy access. The coop is next to my shed and is protected by a 12' x 12' dog fence with some additional deer fencing to help keep out predators. I plan on adding a polycarbonate roof over the pen in the spring. Thanks for watching!
