In this tutorial we tie the basic horn knot. More specifically the 3 pass type 1 horn knot.
The knot is formed by first tying a 5L4B turk's head which is then expanded into a herringbone knot. Finally a pineapple interweave is tied into it to create the horn knot.
The knot works well as a covering knot for various oval objects and as a button knot.
