Horse Braiding Tutorial - Button Braids for a Long Mane

In this horse braiding tutorial I will show you how to braid a long mane using rubber bands. You might call them dressage braids, dressage plaits, or dressage knots, but whatever you call them they are a must learn braid if you have a horse with a long mane. They are so easy you may find they come in handy for everyday riding, schooling, driving, or even lunging. Your horse or pony doesn’t need to have a mane as long as Princess has. I have been able to make these work with a medium long mane. The smaller the braid, the closer together you can place them. I don’t sew my braids in, but a few stitches with yarn that matches your mane would definitely give these staying power needed for a horse show, but just using the elastics works too.
