We stripped all the sealer. We used the Heaters to dry the shellock to ensure all the old sealer was gone. Detail and Spot stripped up to the coolers, bar, stonework, and Enclosure. Another hot rinse Dry The customer came back out, walked it all, and gave us his approval. ๐ชจ Sealing Natural Stone the Right Way! ๐งผ This Shellock was sealed a few years ago using a film-forming paver sealer โ not ideal for natural stone like Shellock or travertine. While it gives a glossy look, it can become slippery, turn yellow like this one, and will trap moisture over time. ๐ฌ ๐ For natural stone surfaces, the better choice is an impregnator sealer. โ It penetrates the stone to provide protection from within โ Maintains a natural or enhanced appearance โ Doesn't make the surface any slipperier than unsealed stone Bottom line: Use the right sealer for the proper application to protect your investment and avoid issues down the road! Do it right the first time so you don't have a yellow and white sealer or, to top it off, sealed in dirt and sand?. ๐ฌ Have questions about sealing your pool deck or patio?
