The is a film from the Imperial War Museum Library presenting an overview of some of the craft tested at IHTU and some of the interesting trials such as constructed hoverways. The film is from the late 1960's and shows how fast developments progressed in that decade. The CC7 is also shown, a quiet craft as it used centrifugal fans for lift and propulsion. Compared to the SR.N6 craft it was almost 'stealthy'! VT1.001 from Vosper is also featured, with its water propeller propulsion and HDL style loop and segment skirt rather than following the BHC stiffer bag and finger skirts of the SR.N series. The car loading trials were at the Hovertravel Southsea hovercraft ramp that is still in use in 2022.
Many thanks to the Imperial War Museum.
