How Do I Stop Puppy Biting?

Puppy nipping & mouthing is normal behavior. Puppies aren't born with bite inhibition, it's a natural way to get other puppies attention and play. Making a loud OUCH will startle the puppy enough that they will stop, it may take several times for your puppy to get the picture that this isn't appropriate. If your puppy doesn't stop nipping after this technique, it may be time for a time out or disconnect.
