How Does a Hook Clamp Work?
Swing clamps, also known as hook clamps, are self-supporting mechanical workholders. Unlike a clamp strap, they do not need a balancer or foot to apply clamping force to a workpiece. Carr Lane Manufacturing Co. offers a variety of Swing Clamps including standard and long arm Hook Swing Clamps, Swing Clamp Assemblies. These hook clamps also come in a variety of sizes. Hook clamps can secure and adjust workpieces with the use of an Allen wrench. In this video, Carr Lane COO Colin Frost demonstrates how hook clamps work and explains the variety offered by Carr Lane. -- Since 1952, Carr Lane Manufacturing Company has been committed to being the world’s preferred source of tooling components by continuously improving products, processes, and services to exceed our customers’ expectations.
