Most Glock fans only know the Austrian brand for their polymer framed 9mm handguns- but in the late 1970s, Gaston Glock manufactured all kinds of plastic goods. One of those items was the Glock Feldmesser 78- a fixed blade combat knife submitted to a competition held by the Austrian government. The special forces were so impressed by Glock's genius design that the Glock 78 knife became the official service blade of the military- and it's still being used today
