How I create a solid, black background in color pencil- Tutorial

For my first tutorial, I have attempted to demonstrate how I achieve smooth coverage for solid backgrounds using colour pencil and odourless solvent. While I have used black as my example, the technique is the same for any area of block colour. I have used prismacolor pencils on Fabriano academia paper Making tutorials is hard!
