How I Create Editorial Colour Contrast in Makeup
I’m building this editorial look using lipstick as blush to create a creamy base of colour, then layering a pigment mixed with a medium on top for contrast and intensity. I like using different textures together like this because it creates depth — the creaminess of the lipstick melts into the skin, while the pigment sits on top and adds structure and impact. It’s all about balancing softness with bold colour placement. A simple way I explore contrast, texture, and colour theory in editorial makeup work.
