In this video we tell you how shutter panels close. Single panels will close into the frame with what is called a butt cut which means the panel is cut flush to close against the frame. When you have more than one panel and they close against each other we use an astrigal. An astirgal is a little lip on on panel that will overlap the other to cover the gap between the panels which will keep out more light and provide a clean look.
