How to 3D Model for Augmented Reality

We are on the journey (Part 5!) to make an augmented reality application for the mobile phone.. from absolute scratch. So far, we’ve learned about version control with Blender, Unity, iOS, Xcode, MacOS and Visual Studio; we’ve learned about some simple guidelines or game theory principles that one can follow to break down any app idea; we’ve learned how to create a working prototype with Unity, focusing on the barebones; and now, as we move towards finalizing our first augmented or mixed reality app, we will create a 3d model of our two game characters using Blender! In this simple tutorial, we will go through some little tips and tricks for creating fast models when you are in a rush or need to get something complete fast. We are by no means trying to make an insanely complicated 3d model… because it’s not necessary! Only do insane things (and control when you do them) if necessary: sometimes, the simplest is the best and sometimes, the easiest. Learning how to make AR apps like this will be super important to become a contributor of the metaverse (whether with Meta/Facebook's or elsewhere). So start now! The most important thing for exporting into Unity, to keep things simple, is to export your fbx file with the Apply Transform checked!
