How to - Camera, Lights, Microphone??? - Vlogging
Here's the set-up we chose for the Envirotube Vlog studio. Camera - canon 750D. Nice quality with direct to mic capability. Mic - blue yeti (check YouTube tutorials on how to run it direct to camera). Direct to camera is a far better option for new users or people in a hurry than syncing up in post at the edit desk. We run the blue yeti of a phone charger rather than off laptop like so many tutorials. Small portable and easy to put off camera. Lighting - Soft box kits on Ebay and Amazon for around $100. Great if you aren't going to be moving out of the studio much. Otherwise go for a good led light and get a cheap light stand. (You can get them for around $15 to $20 on net.) Don't forget extra batteries for camera and a decent battery charger. A card reader. Leads - USBs , Power extension leads, power boards, cam to mic, 3.5 male to male, and 3.5 male to female extension lead etc. etc. (Don't let the production stop over a crappy lead. Extras and reasonable quality.) Memory Cards - here we have a couple of SanDisk Extreme Pro SD 32GB Tripod - we used a Bonfoto B671A. (cheap) Headphones. Spare light globes Peter Clarke - presenter Envirotube. Howard Jackson - Wildhoop Prodcutions.
