Your Schlage Keypad Lock comes with two 4-digit codes (User Code) and a 6-digit code (Programming Code). The 4-digit code is used to unlock the door from the outside, while the 6-digit code Is the Programming Code—used to put the lock in programming mode before you can make any changes.
You want to change these codes (especially if you acquired a previously used lock) for security reasons.
