DAG is used to provide high availability to Mailbox Databases, and Exchange email users are not interrupted in case any server fails. There are different ways to configure. This DAG tutorial video explains a simple example for creating a DAG in Exchange Server. A minimum of two mailbox servers is required to create a DAG. First, we have created a file witness server, which was DC in our case, and can be any pc in a network joined with the domain. Disabled the computer account after giving full permission to our Exchange server EX01 and Exchange Trusted Subsystem. Also added an administrator to the Exchange Trusted Subsystem. From the Exchange Management Console, we created a Database Availability Group and added both our Exchange servers, EX01 and EX02, to the DAG membership. Finally, we added our mailbox databases to a DAG.
