Rather than a user having to run a report manually, the report automatically runs when the subscription associated with a schedule triggers. You can create time-triggered and event-triggered schedules. Time-triggered schedules execute reports when the system clock on the Intelligence Server machine reaches the designated time. Event-triggered schedules execute reports when an event occurs (for example, a data warehouse load). You define a schedule for a time or an event, and then you create subscriptions for reports and documents, based on that schedule.
