The preparation of the covers and signatures is the same for this binding as a single needle Coptic stitch. For a video on how to measure and prepare covers and signatures: https://youtu.be/AN-qX7bjfXY Suggested supplies: - 2 prepared book covers - 4 or more prepared signatures - Curved or straight needles, minimum of 2 (I find curved needles easier to use for this sewing) - Strong thread - One or more colors. Two colors are shown to help show the steps, but one color may also be used and is beautiful. (In this tutorial, I am using synthetic bookbinding thread) - Beeswax (optional) - Bean bag or other smooth weight (optional) ***Patience 😄 Chapters: Supplies 00:00 Preparing Thread 00:27 Sewing the First Cover & 1st Signature 01:24 2nd Signature 04:37 3rd Signature 07:57 Sewing the Last Signature & Cover 12:59 Tying Off the Knots (quick square knot demo) 18:33 Done! :) ***Decorative Weaving you can easily add to this binding! https://youtu.be/cpY26_JTGUo Suggested books to try next: “Peek-A-Boo” Double Needle Coptic Binding: https://youtu.be/XkFMcH84bLs Greek Binding: https://youtu.be/mqBrkt1Zwwc Celtic Weave Binding: https://youtu.be/e5w3iAF0eE4 Ladder Stitch Combo Binding: https://youtu.be/SLuOTbwk74o How to sew Coptic headbands: Coptic Headbands - Step By Step Tutorial (Real Time, No Music) https://youtu.be/0hYdih87Rog Longer tutorial on how to wax your own thread: https://youtu.be/jEBufMP_BTs?si=p3wvYMpdbDRM5tHJ — Hi, I'm Christine Guenard.
