I was working on a map today on UK property prices and the boundary data I had was for the local authority districts for 2020.
But the only file that I could find for 2020 was 80 MB, which is too big when we're making a web map that only has 300 features, so I wanted to strip this file down to a simple size.
My go-to tool for doing this is the geometry tool, simplify, in QGIS, but the problem that we always get whenever we're running the standard simplify tool in QGIS is the dreaded slivers. Here's a new way I found to fix the slivers quickly and easily.
