How to edit Project calendar in Microsoft Project 2016 || MSP Tutorials || dptutorials

In this tutorial, let us learn How to edit Project calendar in Microsoft Project 2016. You might be knowing that by default when we create a new project in Microsoft Project it uses 5 day work week. How about if we want to use a 6 day work week. Let us see how do in this tutorial now. Lets create a new blank project. add an activity by name sample task and give duration as 10 days and start date as 15-Nov-19, you will see that the finish date as 28-Nov-19. Now, let us change the calendar from 5 day workweek to 6 day workweek. Go to menu bar and go to project tab and click on the Change Working Time option. Here you can see that this project is using a 5 days calendar and so Saturday is a non working day. You can make a new calendar by making a copy of the existing calendar or else you can directly change the existing calendar. click on workweeks tab and details button. Click on Saturday, and on right side, select “Set days to these specific working times” option, Enter the working time as 8 to 12 and 13 to 17 hrs. Now you can see the Saturday as a working day. Click OK. Now you will observe that the finish date changes from 28th Nov'19 to earlier i.e., 26th Nov'19 So in this way you can edit Project calendar in Microsoft Project 2016.
