Today I want to post a really quick tutorial as I get these questions so often: How to get a nice glow effect in Godot? Why has the glow artifacts? Why is the glow blocky? Why is the glow stuttering and flickering? I decided the quickest way to answer all this is to make this short video and to supply you with an example project. You can find the source / example for the complete project in a GitHub repository here: https://github.com/RPicster/Godot-Glow-WorldEnvironment/ If you want to support me, the biggest favor would be to check out the game I am currently developing (Or share it or to suggest it to friendly streamers!): https://www.franzfury.com/ Or you can buy me a coffee to fuel my brain: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/raffa Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MV_Raffa Join the nice Community at the Everett Station Discord: https://discord.com/invite/JU3y5WkQ4g Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 00:08 Let's get started! 00:25 WorldEnvironment - Adjustments (Color Correction) 01:10 WorldEnvironment - Glow 01:42 Glow - Fix Blockyness 01:52 Glow - Blend Modes 02:25 Glow - Fix Flickering ( Glow Levels ) 03:15 Glow - Fix Intensity 03:27 Glow - Bloom 03:45 Glow - HDR Threshold 04:30 Glow - HDR Luminance Cap 06:40 Saving one Powerful Color as a Preset 07:42 HDR Colors get multiplied, too! 08:14 Linear vs Dynamic(HDR) Post-Processing 08:55 Outro Music by https://chillhop.com: Plusma, Von Wegen - sopha Saib - Beyond Clouds Tesk - Doin It
