pyRevit is a collection of Python scripts, written by Ehsan Iran Nejad, that access Revits API. It is an open and transparent approach to accessing Revit's API. Thank you Eshan for your willingness to shared and help others out. It must have taken months to create all these scripts. Last year at some point I had a problem with a line style in a project. Eshan helped me solve it with the use of RevitPythonShell (RPS). It was s simple thing, get rid of the offending line style that kept on duplicating itself. The only way to get rid of it was through the Revit API (that I knew of). If I had to C# it, I would have found it a lot harder to succeed, but with RPS and Ehsans' help it was simple, painless and a bit of fun! Thats when I started to seriously think about getting into coding for work.
