Welcome back to Dezavi Productions. In this weeks video, I'll show you how to make a beat in ProTools using virtual instruments and a MIDI Controller. We'll go step by step in the process of building a beat from scratch. This includes: changing the tempo, creating instrument tracks, assigning virtual instruments, recording MIDI notes, and quantizing MIDI notes. At the time of this recording, this series was supposed to be only 2 parts. But because I want these videos to be as informative as possible, I decided to make it into 4 parts. In Part 2 of 4, which will be released the following week from this videos release, we'll dig into extending MIDI clips, converting your MIDI to Audio, and separating the sounds of your drum rack into their own tracks.
