I was trying to make a better mold for my solid eye system so that I wouldnt have to keep sanding out a compartment in each casting, so i thought while i did it I would film the process so that everyone else can learn how its done!

To make a copy of an object a typical method is to make a silicone mold. In this how to mold a prop sword/gun video I show you the entire process involved in making a two part silicone box mold. Silicone comes as a two part liquid that when you mix together starts to harden and bond into a rubber which makes it perfect for making a negative copy of a prop or any object! I split this silicone box mold into two parts as it is fairly complex and allows me to have very clean seam lines.
