I've had an Audioquest Dragonfly for a while now, but could never use it conveniently with my phones, as it needs an OTG cable. My OTG is quite stiff, and the whole weight of the OTG cable, the Dragonfly and the headphone cabe is wearing the phone's USB-C socket basically. So I figured it would be very nice to unload the socket somehow and make a phone case that can dock similar DAC+AMPs. In this video I'm showing how I made this docking case with my Nokia 7 Plus, it's Nillkin super frosted case and the Hama OTG cable I had. PoC came out pretty ugly, but it works as expected and completely unloads the stress on the USB-C socket. Beforehand I did some googling, but nobody produces similar solutions. Maybe this gives an idea. Not sure how many people would buy it though, but I'm happy with the results, chilling on the couch improved a lot with this setup :)
