How to make a static HTML website editable with CouchCMS
In this video, we install CouchCMS a content management system that will help us make our static website content editable. We install CouchCMS alongside a free HTML blog static template and introduce a few Couch tags to get you started toward a fully editable website! CouchCMS is designed for anyone, regardless of skill level, who knows some HTML or has access to an HTML website template. Couch requires no knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, or CSS. Of course, knowing these skills can help you build even better sites, but for this series, all you need to know is basic HTML. No PHP, CSS, or JavaScript experience required. 👌 In future episodes, we'll learn how to embed reusable content, such as headers, navigation, and footers. In future series, we'll cover how to build other types of applications using CouchCMS, such as a note taking application that allows user registration, forgot password features, and more. Don't worry; all of this is much easier than it sounds if you're using CouchCMS (relax, you're on the couch) 👍 - - - - - - - ** Links 🔗 🔗 🔗 CouchCMS: https://www.couchcms.com, https://www.couchcms.com/forum Free HTML blog template: https://www.free-css.com/free-css-templates/page276/bloggy Open Iconic icon set: https://useiconic.com/open - - - - - - - ** Tools I’m using 🔨 🔨 🔨 Sublime Text: https://www.sublimetext.com MAMP: https://www.mamp.info
