I have been experimenting over the past few weeks with some homemade pellets which can be used directly on the hook, so they needed to be stiff enough to withstand a strong cast on a waggler rig, but soft enough to allow the hook to pull through when you strike into a fish.
I also wanted them to be able to be used on a band or on a hair rig, which meant they had to come in different sizes, depending upon the situation.
So far these pellets have worked really well and seem to do the job exactly as I had hoped. In this episode, I will show you exactly how to make them.
It's actually a very simple recipe based on a standard Boilie Mix. You don't need any knowledge of cooking, but if you want to be able to do it again, you will need to learn how to clean up after yourself.
Here are the Ingredients if you want to make some for yourself:
150ml Semolina
150ml Plain Flour
1 heaped desert spoon & 1 level desert spoon Turmeric
2 Large Eggs
Tiny amount of water to make the mixture a bit softer
