Mixing antimony (III) sulfide (Sb2S3) and potassium chlorate (KClO3) makes a very powerful, but sensitive mixture, great for use in firecrackers! This mixture is shock and friction sensitive and may self ignite if stored too long, therefore, I recommend using it right after you mix it. This mixture burns extremely fast and produces a near-instantaneous cloud of SO2 and Cl2, creating a rapid and sudden increase in pressure to burst a container, making the nice, loud BANG! or CRACK! you hear when you ignite a firecracker. This mixture is a high sensitivity explosive and is very easy to unintentionally ignite, therefore, I do not recommend attempting this without background knowledge. Enjoy!
