How to make ink using acorns
At this time of year, a quick walk in the woods will yield all sorts of treasures. If you fancy a go at making your own art materials, in particular ink, then acorns are one of the easiest nuts to find and convert. I was very excited to discover that it is water resistant - every day is a school day! All you need is acorn caps, water and an old saucepan or even better a slow-cooker. You will need something with iron - an iron tablet, iron sulphate or even rusty nails. Should you want I will show some other additives. You might also want to take a look at the walnut ink I made: https://youtu.be/Bqi8ZwFuzoQ I aim to share a tip or technique every week - usually on Sunday at 2pm. I might throw in a few bonus films or shorts, so it’s worth hitting the notification bell to be alerted to the next one. Every like and comment tells YouTube to show this to more people, so please jump in and share with your creative friends.
