How to Make Multi-colored Embeds for Bath Bombs - Embed Maker

Embeds are perfect for creating multi-colored foam. You can put embeds in any size bath bomb for an explosion of color in the water! Embeds are the best option for lots of different colors compacted in a single bath bomb. This method is the most sufficient for the optimum amount of colors! EMBED RECIPE: 1 cup baking soda, 1 Cup citric acid, 1 tablespoon guar gum (optional), 2 teaspoons fragrance oil, 1.5 teaspoons polysorbate 80, 2 teaspoons carrier oil (I used sweet almond). In order to form the embeds, this recipe is a bit more wet than normal. For multiple colors, divide mix & add color powder to each. Then mix well. To slow drying, cover mix that’s not being used to slow drying. The mix dries fairly quickly so if you’re new to this, only make small batches at a time. Fill the mold with the flat plate on bottom. Pack the mold & make the top as flat as possible. Once the mold is packed, place the other plate on & squeeze the entire mold together. Then switch the 2 plates & pack it once more. Once the mold has been fully packed, place the sunken side face down on the plate with the blocks & push down one side at a time until the embeds rise. Once the embeds half way out, you can push the entire mold down to release the embeds. Place them on a flat surface & dry for 24 hours. To use them, place embeds inside the bomb. Add fresh mix between layers of embeds so that the bomb doesn’t fall apart & integrity isn’t weakened. You can use embeds in any size mold. Embeds are the best option for making multi-colored foam.
