How to make ruffles
This video will introduce students to the creative world of ruffles. The popular garment detail is seen everywhere from shirts to dresses even bags and shoes. Real ruffles are created from a circle and not gathering. See if you can spot any in your wardrobe! NOTE: Real ruffles are created from a circle and not gathering. The most inner most part of the circle will have the most volume and the most outer most have the least amount. The trick is to make a bunch of circles. Ruffles can be any size and do not need to fit any traditional standard. It's your ruffle; your design; experiment and see what you like.
