How to Pack a Computer

Learn how to properly pack your computer monitor, system unit and accessories. A few highlights: -Disconnect all cords, wrap them up, and place them in a plastic zip bag. Take a picture of 'what-cord-goes-where' to make reconnection easy. -To pack the computer tower, wrap it completely in bubble wrap, secure it with tape, and place it upright in a box that's lined with crushed packing paper (for a cushion of support). -Follow the same steps to pack the computer monitor--we suggest adding a few extra layers of bubble wrap to protect the screen.Place the monitor upright in the box, with the screen facing the inside wall of the box. -Small computer accessories such as a mouse or webcam can be packed in the same box as the tower and monitor, as long as they are also wrapped and taped. -Fill empty spaces in the box with crushed packing paper to prevent shifting or rubbing.
