How to Patch a Chimney - EASY!
If you're having issues with your chimney and need to patch it yourself, this is how you do it! This vinyl concrete is extremely easy to use and is designed not to crack. Quikretes manufacturing instructions outline exactly how to use this product and is a big part of what my video goes off of. This specific chimney is made out of cinder blocks and was cased with some sort of concrete. There have been multiple patch jobs on this it appears as I can see some fiberglass strands in the surface concrete here. This same type of patch that I'm using will work with any type of brick and concrete chimney. The steps are as follows: 1) remove any loose pieces 2) use a wire brush to further remove debris and moss 3) use a soft brush to clear the dust and dirt 4) mix the mortar 5) spray water in areas you are about to apply vinyl concrete to 6) apply concrete and let sit for 15-30 minutes 7) use a float to smooth out the concrete 6) keep the concrete wet for a few hours if possible to prevent cracking and improve bonding. If you have any questions or if you're a professional mason, drop down a comment below and either I'll help you out, or you can help me and the other viewers out. ----------------------------------------- Tools Used: ⚒️⚙️🗜️🔦📐🔧🔨 Vinyl Concrete: https://amzn.to/37j3XcT Wire Brush: https://amzn.to/2IRKt5Z Soft Brush: https://amzn.to/3oS7bKu Pointing Trowel: https://amzn.to/2WevwOk Flat Trowel: https://amzn.to/2JYu0O1 Spray Pump Bottle: https://amzn.to/37kxy5I Foam Float: https://amzn.to/3nyyJnK #ChimneyPatch #ChimneyRepair #HowTo *********************************** Kelly Concepts is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com DON'T CLICK THIS: http://www.youtube.com/c/KellyConcepts?sub_confirmation=1.
