In this video, I will show you how to play the bamboo panpipes, specifically the siku pan pipes handcrafted in Peru. These panpipes consist of 13 notes, each adorned with a woven band. To begin, focus on the blowing position. Instead of blowing directly over the pipe, position your lips slightly over it to direct the airflow. Each pipe produces a different note based on its length, you should practice blowing correctly to maintain a consistent clear sound. The pan pipes generally follow the diatonic scale of C major, though handmade pipes may have size variations that affect the notes.
