From Hurricane forecasts to COVID-19 projections, we are forced to make life and death decisions with uncertainty visualizations more than ever. Unfortunately, uncertainty is one of the most challenging concepts for most people to understand, and visualizations of uncertainty can be highly complex and abstract. In this talk, I'll discuss methods for making sense of uncertainty visualizations and how to avoid being misled by commonly confusing visualization choices.
