Open the photo for background. Use File-Open. Choose your background image. Click Open. 2. Open main photo. Use File-Open as layers. Choose your main image. Adjust its position using the Move Tool. Adjust its size using the Scale Tool. Use Layer-Transparency-Add Alpha Channel to make the layer support transparent background. 3. Outline your subject. Grab the Scissors Select Tool. Start creating a path by clicking on the edge of your subject. Make sure the end point of the selection meets the start point of the selection. Once you have finished making the selection, click the mouse inside the selection area to change the path into a selection. 4. Create a Layer Mask. Use Layer-Mask-Add layer Mask. Select the Selection radio button then click OK. Use Select-None to remove the selection 5. Adjust size and position. Use the Move Tool to adjust its position. Use the Scale Tool to adjust its size. 6. Apply Gaussian Blur and Curves if necessary. Use Colors-Curves to adjust the light level of the image. Use Filter-Blur-Gaussian blur to apply Gaussian Blur.
