In this video, I aim to show you the basic steps required to replacing an oxygen sensor. [Prologue] The hardest part of this job (excluding diagnosis and the punch in the wallet) is having the proper tool configuration to access and remove the part. [Basic Installation Procedure] 1. Remove appropriate sensor electrical connector 2. Verify replacement sensor connector matches 3. Loosen and unscrew old/faulty sensor 4. Screw in and tighten new replacement sensor 5. Plug in electrical connector [Post-Installation Procedure] 1. Clear CEL/DTCs (only if suitable* see below) 2. Verify Repair *Caution with this step. Exercise due diligence in diagnostic troubleshooting prior to this step: (1)Assess whether any accompanying codes (if any) are the actual cause to the issue. (2)Please address and fix any other outstanding faults first. Unless you believe the O2 to be primary cause for accompanied faults. Hopefully this helps. Wrench wisely and safely. Cheers. -Joshua C.
