How to Replace the Air Filter
This video shows how to replace the air filter on the ABRA Sandmaster Pro dust collector. Replace the filter at least once a year, or sooner if suction drops, airflow is restricted, or the dust collector performance declines. Process overview: Remove the vacuum motor head by releasing the two latches and set it aside. Remove the black plastic caps and the screws. Power the machine off, then disconnect the electrical wires and the air hose, and feed them through so the top housing can be lifted up and removed. Flip the filter assembly over and remove the hardware in order, keeping track of the exact stack-up (nuts, washers, flange, and rubber gaskets) so it can be reinstalled the same way. Remove the bracket and flange hardware to fully release the old filter. Install the new filter in the same orientation, making sure the rubber gasket and washer are seated correctly for a good seal. Reinstall the triangular bracket and nuts, snug everything down without over-tightening so the filter does not collapse, then install the final lock nut to prevent vibration from loosening it. Reinstall the filter housing, align the hoses in the same direction as before, reinstall all bolts, reconnect the air line and electrical wiring (match colors, blue to blue and brown to brown), and confirm connections are snug. Reinstall the vacuum head, clamps, and plastic covers. Safety: Power off the machine before disconnecting wiring, air lines, or removing the dust collector housing. Verify wires are secure before powering back on. Tools: 19 mm wrench, 13 mm wrench, basic hand tools as shown in the video.
