Sometimes you want a nickel base with a thick top layer of sterling on something. In this case, I'm doing....I am soldering a 22 ga steel layer on top of a thicker nickel base metal. This allows for a steel browning or bluing surface with a non rusting base. Sometimes all steel buckles rust on backside, from coming in contact with the skin or humidity. This prevents this. Soldering two base metals together is challenging if not well schooled on soldering, but anyone can do it with enough practice. Follow along.
